Halloween Costumes for Couples

When it comes to getting into the Halloween spirit, it’s not not just about your kids enjoying the experience, but the actual holiday itself is for everyone to celebrate and dress up for. Whether it is walking your kids house to house, hosting or attending parties, haunted houses, or just greeting trick or treaters yourself it betters the experience for everyone if you join in the festivities and get dressed up. Coupling with another person and creating a theme or couples costume set is a very good way to do this that way you can drag your spouse or friends into the Halloween spirit with you.
What are some good ideas for themes for a couples Halloween costume?
Well there are many themes from Television characters, to children’s book characters, all the way to everyday life.
For example:
Romeo and Juliet – This would be a cute theme to follow especially if you and your spouse are the romantic type and like to keep your affections obvious. Romeo and Juliet was a play written by William Shakespeare. The couple was two young teens who met under accidental circumstances and instantly fell in love. But the children’s families were direct enemies and Juliet was banned from seeing Romeo, although that did not stop them. They snuck around behind their family’s backs planning to meet over and over and enjoy the affections in which they had for one another. Through all there feats they ended up committing suicide, because they could not live without one another and the families would never allow them to be together.
The Adams Family – This is a couples theme you can get the entire family into if you are more interested in something a bit scarier and into the spirits of Halloween. The Adams family consisted of Morticia the mother, Gomez the father, Fester the Uncle, and the two children, named Wednesday and Pugsley. The family is based on the gothic theme, and tends to have dark, morbid personalities focused around death, pain, and dangerous objects. While the parents Morticia and Gomez carry a very active romance between them as lovers do.
Prince and Princess – There are many ways to go about this romance couples theme for Halloween. A prince and princess are the children of the royal kings and queens and typically the next generation to inherit the throne. Some general Ideas of princes and princesses are The Beauty and the beast, The Little Mermaid, Repunsel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin, Shrek, along with many, many, more.
No matter what you decide to wear, just remember Halloween is for everyone to celebrate.

Dressing as a couple is a great idea for Halloween. There are so many famous couples to choose from. There are real life couples like Sonny and Cher or Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe. Then there are couples from tv and movies like Robin Hood and Maid Marian, Homer and Marge Simpson, or George and Jane Jetson.

My boyfriend and I were trying to come up with some good couple costumes. One good idea we had was I was going to dress as a vampire and he was going to put two drops of blood on his neck and wear a shirt with dinner written across the chest.

It’s cool when couples dress up as.. er, well, couples. The Adam’s family was one of my favorite shows as a kid. That and the Munsters. I think a great idea for couples would be to go as Marge and Homer Simpson.

Romeo and Juliet are just too common. Beside, I think that’s more suitable for Valentine party. I prefer Shrek for Halloween costumes party.

We are going to a halloween party a friend is hosting where costumes are a must and there is a few contest including best costumes. We want to go as a couple costume, but don’t like the “mustard/ketchup” idea or any that we have seen so far. We are open to options but would prefer something humorous.

Some other ideas could be Cinderella and Prince Charming and what about Princess Tiana and the Frog. Both could dress up as frogs in waiting for the kiss.
